I have many true stories from my days at the "Tech"!!! The memories that stand out the most, involve my experiences both as a student and as an athlete. As a student, I remember like yesterday, dressing up everyday in my plaid colored slacks that I purchased from a Men's store called "Leading Men"! I would wear Hush Puppy shoes with metal taps, walking in a kool strut down the halls making a bunch of noise with my shoes along with a nice jersey sweater, a leather jacket and cold brim on my head thinking that I was Clean and Kool! As an athlete, my defining moment came on the football field while playing against Sumner High School for the Public High League Championship. We were losing to them with 2 minutes left in the forth quarter, when I intercepted a pass and returned it to Sumner's 5 yard line which led to the winning touchdown, and a victory over Sumner High for the Public High League Championship in 1981! I also made the newspapers the following day, you can find my picture in the archives of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, and the old Globe Democrat! So it's true what classmate Brian Brown said about Sumner High "We Spanked That Ass"!!! Thanks to Yours Truly! How about those Hornets!!! LoL!!!
